ARAWALE NATIONAL PARK
The Arawale National Park is located in the north-Eastern Province, in Garissa district, five km from the left bank of the Tana River. It was set up with the primary motive of protecting rare antelope species known as the Hirola or the Hunter's hartebeest unique to this region. It has a hot and humid climate.
Game in the park include; the Hirola antelope, elephants, giraffes, Grevy's zebras, lesser kudu, buffaloes and crocodiles.
