MOMBASA MARINE NATIONAL PARK

The Mombasa Marine National Park spread over 200 sq km, was formed with the notion of protecting the original coral heads and their resident marine life from the risk of over fishing and trophy collection. The reserve is the town of Mombasa. It has a hot and humid climate.
The prolific marine life includes crabs, corals, sea urchins, jellyfish, sea stars, and sea cucumbers. Different varieties of coral species comprise of Acropora), Turbinaria and Porites.
 Apart from admiring the beautiful gardens, the visitors can sunbathe on the pristine beaches. Water sports are also quite popular like scuba diving and snorkeling.
